It has been a month since I have written to you and so much has happened. I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and are ready to start the year 2008 in an exciting way. The month of January always makes me think of changes I would like to make. I clean out closets and get rid of things I don't want around any more. In piano, we can clean out some bad habits we might have picked up and start fresh with some new ways of being successful. I hope all of us will practice with a purpose. All of us have things to improve and now is the time to get going.
January 9th is the deadline for entering the Whitlock theory test. Then there is the Jazz recital, next is the Duet and Trio recital, and the Wee Folk recital.
All of you, grades K-12, will be preparing music for the Texas Tech Pastorale on March 29th. You need to be clear on your plans because that is a "big deal" to me and you. If you do not check this blog at least weekly, you may miss something important.
When you come to piano this week, come with a plan in mind. Let's have a lot of fun and learn some new songs.
