Happy New Year Goals and Dates

Have you enjoyed time with your family and friend this Christmas? I seems like the time was too short to do all I had planned. I begin piano on Wednesday, January 4th. With the new year come many activities and deadlines for all of us. I hope you weren't someone who sat by and let the fall pass you by. Many accomplishments made me proud. There was much more practice than usual. Below I am going to list some dates that you need to remember: Practice everyday on song you like, songs you enjoy, and songs that challenge you to do better. Jan 7 Deadline for Whitlock theory test Test will be Feb 25 Jan 13 Deadline for sonatina festival Festival is Feb 11 Jan 18 deadline for Jazz, Pop, rock recital recital is Jan 28 Feb 1 Pastorale deadline Pastorale is March 10th at Texas Tech Feb 6 Ensemble deadline tryouts on Feb 18, performance in Granpevine June 13th Feb 8 World of music deadline test on March 8 Feb 22 deadline for the Wee Folk recital March 3 Wee folk recital March 10 Pastorale May 4-5 Greater Southwest Festival in Amarillo May Recital I know that there are many activities that are only for Student Affiliate members, so be watching for other opportunities for growth and improvement.
