Beginning a New Year with Piano August 27

If you didn't start to school last week, then Monday is likely your first day. Even though I have started many many times in my life, there is something about the first day of school that makes me very excited.  When you come to piano this week, there will be some changes.  There will no longer be computer theory in the basement.  There will be an opportunity again to earn some awards or prizes based on your hard work.

September 15th is the deadline for Student Affiliate enrollment.  If you plan to participate in various recitals for the city, the theory test, original composition, or ensemble, then you need to pay that fee. If it is late, we are charged a big late fee.  The sonatina contest and festival, hymn festival, our studio recitals and  festival will not require you to be a member of student affiliate. Some of these do have extra fees for participation.

I have asked many times for you to follow this blog in order to be informed and check my website too.  There are still several people who have told me that they never have checked on that information.  You are missing out.

Even though I have seen most of you during the summer, please be prepared for changes.  Always come prepared to learn.  If you have to wait for your brothers or sisters, bring something to occupy your time. I look forward to seeing all of you this week and know you will have a year to remember.
