Mental Work vs Physical Work

Lately, I have heard many of you tell how tired you are.  Do you think I can relate to that? No I do not go to school any more, but I still have lots of deadlines and mental exercises every day.  While you do school work, participate in sports or other hobbies, I am doing things to prepare for your lessons, taking care of my home and making sure that appointment are attended for my family.  I usually go to bed at 11:00 and get up to start the day at 6:00 A.M.    During the weekend, I even threw laundy, house cleaning,  and yard work into the mix.  Physical work is sometimes easier because you can see the outcome more easily than hear it.
We all want instant everything.  Instant messaging and instant piano playing do not go together.  I would love to plug my brain into the piano and Voila! come out with an instant song. Hard work practicing is not always appreciated for what it is. I ran across an online contest the other day that required me to write the lyrics to a song and if I won the contest, I would be "published".  That would be fun because I am always creating words to the song you learn.  It helps with correcting rhythm and makes the melody stick.

No more rambling for today.  I appreciate all of you who faithfully keep your practice log, answer the blog questions, and do your assignments on the computer and piano without complaint.  You are rare but you make my day!
Trivia questions for this week for 4 stickers:
What is the name of the only piano instrumental song to be #1 on the billboard charts?
Who wrote it? (He died one year ago)
What was his nickname and how did he get that name?
Name 4 other songs he wrote.
Listen to this song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4OR5sBVirk&feature=related
