Most of you have had one week back to piano. I attended the music convention and I am happy to see so many families with children involved in all kinds of musical activities.
Last week Isaiah brought a song to play that he composed. He is only 6. Gracelyn came to begin lessons for first time and left with a smile and knows where C D and E are on the piano. Bethany and others began to consider the plan for the Hymn Festival in November. David has a goal to fill in the blanks in some of his theory studies.
When you come with excitement and anticipation for piano lessons, it makes me feel excited and ready to do cool songs. No matter how many times I hear a song, when you hear for the first time, it makes it new to me too.
I am not as demanding with practice during the summer, but I am so glad you are playing new and fun material that we seldom have time for in the fall. I hope we can play a lot more games too.
If you think of some project you want to do in piano, let's do it. I like challenges and what better time to try them than the summer.
