I hope many of your are spending time with your dads today. My dad has been gone from this earth for a few years but his influence will never go away. When asked what instrument he played, Daddy always said that he played the radio. I am fortunate to have had a strong Christian daddy who was always there when I needed him. He was 6'3" and often wore a big hat. He was easy to spot in a crowd because he was tall. If your dad or grandpa or any other special man has played an important role in your life, be extra thankful for that.
Last week was special getting everybody back to piano for the summer. Some of you shocked me with your readiness to get going. I passed out incentive sheets to nearly everybody. If I missed you, remind me this week. Practice is something that does not go away. It is impossible to say "I practiced last week. Isn't that enough? " Please remember to record your practice. It makes you accountable for the time.
Trivia for this week: You often hear about a clef in music. What are the 3 clefs? Which do you use? What are instruments that play in each clef? What is their purpose? Give good answers. This is worth more than usual.
