Today is the end of the second day of school for most of you. I know you have had exciting, scary, fun, tiring, sad, happy, and most of all, busy days. I am preparing for you to come to piano lesson next week too. My piano has been tuned, music purchased, and schedules are being completed. As usual, I try to come up with a fun practice incentive that you might enjoy. This year, we will do the "Amazing Race". We will complete different legs of the race and each leg will have a winner until we get to the end and the BIG winner will be announced.
During the summer, several participated in the activity and some will collect their $50 in music money next week. I will post the names soon.
I will give you an idea about the race so you can decide your strategy. I was a sixth grade teacher for a long time and geography is one of my favorite things. You will have more than you can imagine. Look below for the part that gives the rules and print it off.
You can work on up to two legs at the same time. Needed information will be provided on some of the steps when you get to them.
When each leg is completed you will move to that area. First to complete the leg will receive $20 extra music dollars. Winner of the entire race will receive an exciting prize!
Penalties will occur for not practicing.
