Today is the first day of daylight savings time, and it is hard for me to adjust myself to it. Now there is going to be more daylight after school hours. Wow! I can do all sorts of things. (I have been in school lots and lots of years.) I like to plant flowers, work in the yard, and enjoy the outside too. But WAIT! I have things to finish---like all the contest songs that are still in progress and the songs for students who are in the recital.
I said all that to remind you that it is your responsibility to make every effort to do your best at all your work, whether it is school, sports, or piano.
I really do understand that practice isn't always the most fun thing to do, but I do not know a single one of your who does not enjoy being successful.
I am lucky to see you each week. Put a smile on your face. It is a wonderful gift that you have been given to be able to learn the piano and enjoy music. Happy spring and be sure to practice and do your best every day.
