Merry Merry Month of May

Last week was testing for so many people and I believe I saw evidence of being tired. That is over.  Thank Goodness!!!  Now we are looking forward to some students (5) playing at the Greater southwest Music Festival in Amarillo on Friday.  Then our studio recital is May 18th at 1:30 p.m.
After that, we will have one more week of lessons remaining before taking time off for a few weeks.  The students participating in ensemble at convention will most likely continue lessons until the performances.  Most lessons stop for a while May 24th.   Please get your letters with requested times to me this week.
Last week, I had three people ask if I was having a piano recital.  I wonder how many read my blog. I know that some of you are cashing in on the extra trivia questions.  You read and that is the point of my blog.   At least we are informing each other about events.

Remember the saying, " April showers bring May Flowers"? We had no April showers. Now what?
Wednesday is May Day. Traditionally, people make a May basket and fill it with flowers and a treat.  They run up to the door of someone and hang the basket on the door.  If they are caught, something crazy happens to them. I think that would be a fun thing to do.  It would be like a random act of kindness.  Try something kind on May 1st.  It might brighten someone's day----maybe yours.  May 1st is also my daddy's birthday.

Trivia: May flower songs:
1.  Sung by Bette Middler in 1980_________
2.  Sung by the Foundations  1968_________
3. Duet sung by Neil Diamond and Barbara Striesand in 1978_______
4.  Sung in 1962 by Peter, Paul and Mary________

Okay, it is obvious that these are classically old songs.  Each one has a special meaning. #4 was written for something happening in our country.  All five answers will give you 5 stars on your chart.
