Six Weeks #2 begins and so do many other Events

It is the first of the month and the first of a new six weeks.  I am proud of  all the work that you have been doing in the 1500 minute challenge.  Some of you are seeing real progress. Parents are commenting on the experiences at their homes and it sounds so much better.  Practice doesn't have to be a bad, ugly word.  It can be fun when you start to see the results of your work.  Having a regular routine is a good way to make practice part of every day.

I registered 26 students to take the theory test in November.  That means vocabulary is a necessary area of study.  I want you to read the story below and in each blank put a musical term that fits the story.  Completion of my story will give your extra stickers on the chart.
The Gift of the old Piano

Little Lena and Tommy had just received a gift. It was a beautiful piano.  ________, they walked up to it and carefully began to play, first ________ and then ________.  It seemed the louder it got, the faster or _________, Lena's heart would beat.  She asked it a small _______ voice,  "Tommy, do you think the music would sound better if you played__________?"   "______ is my way." announced Tommy.  ________any hesitation, Lena sweetly or _______ told Tommy that is most cases ______is better than _______.  Their mother was relieved that they had learned to __________ and she could take out her ear plugs.  That sounds so much better now_________and ___________would like their music played that way.
