The recital will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 14
at Redbud Baptist Church, 801 Slide Road. The recital will not be quite
as lengthy as the Spring recital, but still around 1 and half hours.
After the recital we will share cookies and what other goodies you choose to
bring. I will only furnish punch, ice and cups. Please plan
to stay if you can and visit for a while.
Monday is the last day for the practice challenge. I
need all papers completely documented. If you are doing the 1500 minute
challenge , all the times must be added and signed by the parent. The 100
day challenge must also be fully documented. I am sure that if you did
the challenge, you music has improved and you can see the value of it. If
possible send the papers by email or bring them by, no later than Tuesday.
The theory tests are here and scores are
available. I knew some of the scores on Saturday, but now I have the
tests too. A lot of hard work can be seen on these papers, however, some
of you are not going to be happy. Tests are graded outside of Lubbock and
the graders are tough. It is hard to see careless mistakes made.
Remember that 90-94 is a bronze medal, 95-97 is silver and 98-101 is a gold
medal.
We will have one week of lessons after the
recital. We end lessons on December 20th. We will
resume
on January 6th.
Trivia:
Last week, at least 3 were playing the 12 days of Christmas. Ria discovered that was a total of 364 gifts. What was the symbolism behind the gifts? What do they mean? The complete answer is worth 3 stars.
