Thank you very much for the superb performances at the recital yesterday. I know that many of you worried and practiced and practiced some more because it definitely showed. We still need to work on bowing and showing gratitude for applause, but you all looked sharp. You parents must have been pleased.
As you remember, December 9th was the last day of our practice challenge for the first semester. 10 students turned in their completed sheets and received their awards for that accomplishment. I really think that judging from the amount of work that went into the practice, parents might consider matching the reward I gave with one themselves. Students were very responsible in getting this done. It has been suggested that we do it again in the second semester. I would like your feedback on this.
Here is a list of the recipients: Caden, Jonathan D., Connor, Stephanie, Charis, Bethany, Almai, Luke, Samuel, and Kaycee. Every one of you should make this a New Year's resolution. Congratulations to this group.
Next, during this week, we will do some planning for what is being done after January 6th. Are you participating in sonatina festival? theory test (whether a first time or retake)? Jazz, pop, and rock recital? Wee folk recital? What are your plans?
Last Trivia for the year 2013: What would make you happier than actually receiving a gift you have requested?
