Remember to make a Practice Habit

Beginning a new six weeks and a new month bring opportunities for all of us.  I have had several students who are beginning to compose songs.  That is fun.  Please remember that blank staff paper is available on my website for your to print.  I am also enjoying listening to the hymns you are learning. Students are playing for their families and finding songs that make them want to practice more often.
In the last Piano Explorer magazine, the writer encouraged us to make practice a habit.  I used to tell people to practice only on the days they eat or on the days ending in a "y".  Sometimes just getting up and to the piano is the biggest task.  We have a streak of lazy in us.

Trivia for this week:  Last week was Vladimir Horowitz's birthday. He was married to an Italian lady and he was Russian.  what language did they speak in their home?
