Going through life with no music at all
Is like forgetting a mask to a masquerade ball.
The music is born as soon as it's played.
And it fills the air with a sweet serenade.
It can be from a cricket on a clear summer's night,
Or a young boy singing with all of his might.
A piano and organ with a church choir,
Or a flute playing tunes that get higher and higher.
All of these pleasures are gifts from God
That people play both here and abroad.
So put on your mask and proudly stand tall,
For your song might just be the life of the ball.

I thought this poem was especially good and wanted to share it. As we close the year 2014, please look at the schedule for events coming up. Theory test deadline is January 9th. I hope you have tried your sonatina at least a few times over the vacation time. We always plan for changes as the year starts. It gives us all chances to make each day better than before. We starts lessons as usual on January 5th.
