Reminders of Reasons to be Practicing

I hope that a sunny Monday will give the spring back to our steps. The Celebration Expo is only 18 days away. If you are working on that event, practice is important. You have to squeeze in time every where you can find it. Also, some are preparing for the All Boys recital and the theory test. I even have two people who are already working on songs for the Christmas recital. Those songs do not have to be holiday related. They can be songs you have been planning to learn anyway.
Last week, I had a few answer the trivia question and receive their credit. Please inform your students of this opportunity. My questions are not necessarily music related. Here is this week's question:

You are on a horse, galloping at a constant speed.

On your right side is a sharp drop-off.

On your left side is an elephant traveling at the same speed as you.

Directly in front of you is a galloping kangaroo and your horse is unable to
overtake it.

Behind you is a lion running at the same speed as you and the kangaroo.

What must you do to get out of this highly dangerous situation ?
