Practice Re-visited

It has been a while since I mentioned your practice chart and keeping your practice times.  Some of you have  developed great habits of writing down your times and having it signed.  I have seen a few charts floating around too.  It seems that I have purchased more gift cards this semester than ever and that makes everyone happy.  Practice is a very big part of learning any skill.  If you are going to succeed you have to try hard and do it repeatedly.

Yesterday, some students took the Spring theory test.  Now, we have to play a waiting game until scores come back.  We are never patient.  I am anxious too.    Next Saturday, there will be a group of students playing in the Wee Folk Recital. I will let you know who plays and how they did in next week's blog.

How are the songs doing that you are playing for the April 5th Festival?  Some of these songs are so much fun that they make lessons really short.  If you practice, your songs sound just like you want them to sound.
I am relieved that February is almost over.  It is a busy month for piano teachers and students.  March will give us a break and it is needed. Work as hard as possible these few weeks before Spring Break because our festival at Redbud Baptist Church will slip up on us and catch us unprepared.

Trivia:
What is your favorite thing about learning piano and why?
